April 9, 2016 was a special evening as we celebrated the 90th birthday of the Chapter's founder, Edith Lanning. She showed everyone how it's done and danced with one of her first partners, Rock Foster. They danced a Quickstep and a Foxtrot. Amazing! Dancing helps keep us young and Edith is proof of that.
For All Your Social Ballroom Dance Needs in South Central Virginia.
The Tri-Cities Chapter of USA Dance was formed in late 1997 and we celebrated our 15th anniversary in November 2012. We are dedicated volunteers who love ballroom dancing. A Tri-Cities dance is the event to attend in South Central Virginia to get some fun exercise, see some old friends, make some new ones and dance to great music. Our chapter holds its dances on the second Saturday every month 7:30-10:30pm at the Wesley United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 3701 Conduit Road, Colonial Heights, VA 23834. We start with a 45-minute dance lesson which is taught by a local instructor. Social dancing follows 8:15-10:30pm to a variety of music. No partner required, we have dance hosts. From time to time we have theme dances, and once a year we have a special formal gala, a reservation-only event.
Join USA Dance at our 2nd Saturday dance, and you'll get in FREE. You can't beat that! Only $35 a year to join at the Social Dancer category.
